Celtic Tweed & Ériu
New fashion & travel story from beautiful and picturesque Ireland is in up of you.
In this post, I introduce you to two renowned Irish fashion brands that were a significant part of the Showcase Ireland 2025 Creative Expo.
Celtic Tweed @celtictweed ✨brand represents the perfect combination of traditional tailoring techniques, exceptional Irish fabrics, contemporary styling, and a commitment to creating ethical and authentic clothing.
You can read more about this top brand below, and the information is directly from Celtic Tweed website.
“After 35 years in the industry working with suppliers across the world, we decided in 2012 to create a uniquely Irish clothing collection that re imagined the fabrics of Ireland and to make that clothing proudly in our hometown in Balbriggan, a town rich in history of weaving, and clothing production dating back to 1830s.
Every day since has been a journey of learning, and discovery. We design with simplicity believing that the best things in life are simple and timeless. We strip out the unnecessary to create stylish pieces. Making these pieces over and over and truly honing our skills, constantly refining the fit, fabrics, textures and finishes with each new collection, they truly are the best of the best created by hand here by our highly skilled team of designers, cutters, and tailors.
People are becoming much more curious about where their clothing comes from making in Balbriggan enables us to share that journey with them.
Our team meticulously handcraft every piece, to create shapes that beautifully mold to your body, to create authentically sustainable pieces of quiet luxury, that will become a cherished heirloom for you and future generations to enjoy. Making clothing with love that future generations will enjoy.”
Ériu Ireland @eriu.ireland ✨ yarn is made from the finest Irish wool sourced directly from their farm and though their Farm to Yarn sustainable initiative nationwide. They have been working with select breeds and blends that are proving very suitable for knitwear.
Ériu – after the patron goddess of Ireland, queen of fertility, sovereignty and abundance. Brand wanted to create a thoroughly sustainable process of making Irish woollen blankets, sourcing directly from farmers, and enlisting local textile artisans. “Farm to Yarn” has become mantra and slogan too.
The inspiration for the style was the timeless feminine elegance of the 1930s. A hat-like detail rounded off the total look. I hope you like it.
